With open enrollment coming up starting November 1st and ending December 15th, it’s important to review your healthcare options, particularly if you are a small business with less than 50 employees.
If you have fewer than 50 employees, you can offer your employees health coverage under a group policy and the CHROs would be happy to help if that is the option you choose. However, it may make sense to have employees select their own tailored ACA plan as they have options that may provide more robust coverage at a lesser monthly cost. Your employees have the option to apply their Advanced Premium Tax Credit towards their monthly premiums.
Additionally, if they qualify, they may also enroll in a plan with cost-sharing reduction.
The CHROs is focused on helping small businesses attract and retain talent, and employee benefits is one area that employees evaluate when considering employment options. As a small business owner, myself, I understand that attracting and retaining talent is important and that you want to have healthy and happy employees.
